"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something New...and a sixpense in her shoe...."

Although we dont expect you to elegantly float through your ceremony with an uncomfortable coin in your shoe - Most brides opt to follow popular and traditional myths. It never has been proven true or not BUT popular belief is that toting these items up the isle with you will bring a measure of goodluck!

Regardless of our beliefs we have included some nifty ideas of how to include these ideas in your wedding day.

Something Old....

This is quite ambiguous and of course you could use this to your advantage. You could opt to go with something that is literally old and worn or you could have something new with antique or vintage sentiment.

>> Arrive or leave in a vintage car
>> Carry an old hanky or an old necklace from your high school days
>> Wear Pearls...these prove very popular
>> Wear your moms old wedding dress
>> Many brides take over their moms' or mother inlaws engagement ring

Something New....

This one is easy! All brides love to shop, sothats just what you will have o do!! Popular new items include:

>> New wedding shoes
>> Indulge in new make up or perfume
>> New ear rings
>> Many brides consider the wedding gown as the "something new"

Something Borrowed....

This one could get tricky...Not many people like to borrow something for their wedding for fear of it clashing with the theme! While keeping this risk to a bare minimum most brides opt for the follwing:

>> Borrowed hairpins from someone close to you
>> Watch
>> Borrowed Handbag
>> Very popular is the compact or even ribbons

Something Blue....

Many brides may fret at the idea of having BLUE at their wedding. Blue can actually add an interesting and somewhat fresh contrast, especially to white weddings. Some clever ideas would include:

>> Blue twine or ribbon around the base of the boquets
>> Blue studded ear rings
>> Fake blue flowers added to the table arrangements and pew decor

As trivial as this may seem...we sincerely hope that it helps!
