The SwingTones Big Band is Johannesburg's premier big band specialising in the music of the Big Band Era. It's classy, exciting and professionally presented. The SwingTones is a big band in the true sense consisting of up to 15 musicians with full trumpet, saxophone and trombone sections together with the usual rhythm group of keyboards, bass and drums. We also have a resident male vocalist for those ever popular arrangements made so well known by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin and Harry Connick Jnr.
Our repertoire includes many of the ever popular melodies from the libraries of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, the Dorsey brothers and many other names from the big band era.Our music is guaranteed to make your special event go with a swing in more ways than you can imagine. The band performs at many venues in and around the greater Johannesburg area and will also travel to other locations.
