Wedding Planning

Are you engaged to the man of your dreams and have no idea where to even begin your wedding planning? Getting married can be daunting to a young couple, let alone planning the big day. Right, now is the time to focus and start organising that memorable day of union.
This is a time when both of you will feel giddy, and excited with anticipation!

Wedding planning is not an easy task. You will have to make decisions about everything, from the food the guests will eat, the opening song at the reception, the wedding cake, and so much more. The day should represent both the bride and groom, and reflect both of their styles and personal tastes. Planning your wedding can be one of the most stressful things you could do. Fortunately for you there are a number of ways that this can be a joyous time instead. Just remember to always be organised and keep your eye on the ball. You need to consider travel time, getting in and out your car, when to eat and so on. You should have some extra time added on, so you do not rush around, and can spend more time with your friends and family.

Ideally, the best thing to do would be to create an instruction list, or ‘master time chart’ that will detail everything that you need to do and prepare. This is very helpful, and should be given to all of the wedding staff members such as the caterers, photographers, florist and so one. The timeline is itemized and has a task for everyone, down to the minute. The list should have everything on it from when you wake up, eat breakfast, go to the hairstylist and makeup, get dressed, and have a break and so on. Every detail needs to be jotted down, so you do not leave anything to chance. The last thing you want to do is forget to write down ‘pre-wedding ceremony photos’ and then have no time to meet the photographer. This would be a disaster.

Wedding planning needs to be thorough and well thought-out. It is not easy, but when it is put into a system and everyone understands the process, and the timing of one event on the day to another, then everything should run completely smoothly, like clock work. Don’t let the day stress you out – it is meant to be the happiest day of your life!
